This moment reminds us that power is not constant motion. Even a bear stops, settles, and listens to what it needs. You are allowed to honor your pace. You are allowed to pause, breathe, and move only when it feels right.

This might sound silly, but every time I go out with my camera, I ask nature to show me something beautiful and special while keeping me and everyone around safe. Nature and the universe always come through.

When I took this photo, I was already at the full reach of my 600 mm. What’s wild is that I had walked right past him and didn’t notice until I crossed the bridge and saw people staring and recording. It was getting dark, my settings were pushed, and I was not about to get any closer. I wanted the photo, but I also wanted to live.

My hands were shaking from excitement. It all happened so fast, but in the middle of it, there was this quiet moment. Him pausing. Me pausing. Both of us just existing in the same space for a second.

A reminder from nature that even strength knows when to slow down. And so can you.
